Kazakhstan plans to expand internet access for its neighbors using the Starlink satellite system located on its territory. This was stated by Zhaslan Madiyev, the Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, during a government meeting.

He noted that this year, the transfer of internet traffic to Tajikistan is planned, and in the future, to Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan. This will be carried out through Starlink gateway stations built in Kazakhstan, which will allow the signal to be broadcast beyond the republic. This step will strengthen Kazakhstan's position as a leader in digital communication in the region.

In addition, efforts for digitalization continue within Kazakhstan: this year, 1,900 villages will gain access to the fiber-optic network, and by next year, it is planned that the internet will cover more than 90 percent of the country's territory. All republican roads will also be equipped with the necessary internet infrastructure.

It is worth noting that the day before, information emerged that Starlink has already begun providing high-speed internet to the entire territory of Tajikistan.
