Kamchybek Tashiev Returned to Kyrgyzstan

Kamchybek Tashiev, who previously held the position of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and headed the State National Security Committee (GKNB), has returned to Kyrgyzstan. His arrival at Manas Airport took place on the night of February 13, where he was met by several vehicles resembling official ones used during his tenure as Chairman of the State National Security Committee.

According to journalist Nurgazy Anarkulov, who previously published Tashiev's address on social media, the treatment of the former head of the GKNB is not yet complete; however, he decided to return to his homeland due to current circumstances.

It is worth noting that on February 10, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, signed a decree relieving Kamchybek Tashiev of his duties as Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Chairman of the GKNB.

Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov was appointed as the Acting Chairman of the State National Security Committee.

Additionally, three deputies of the Chairman of the GKNB were dismissed.

On February 12, Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu also resigned, and the new speaker became Marlen Mamataliev.

As Tashiev himself reported, he fell ill and, having received permission from the president, went to Germany for treatment, where he underwent examinations after surgery. He also noted that the dismissal came as a complete surprise to him.
