

At a meeting with the residents of Tokmok, organized by the Ombudsman of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jamilya Jamambaeva, important issues concerning the lives of mothers of children with disabilities were discussed. Participants raised topics related to the difficulties of undergoing examination at the MSEC, as well as problems with the accessibility of urban infrastructure and refusals from educational institutions to accept children with autism.
It is worth noting that events titled "Rights Caravan" are taking place in the region, during which staff from the Ombudsman Institute and its head provide legal assistance and accept complaints about violations of citizens' rights.
According to information provided by the press service of the Ombudsman Institute, more than 200 people from various districts, including Issyk-Ata, Chui, and Kemin, as well as from the cities of Tokmok and Kant, attended the meeting. Residents mainly discussed socio-economic issues.

Parents complained that children with autism cannot be accepted into schools. They also expressed dissatisfaction with the difficulties encountered when undergoing examination at the MSEC.
“To undergo the examination, we have to personally take our children, even if they cannot move. For example, I take my adult child by taxi because we are not accepted on public transport. Parents from remote villages have to incur significant travel expenses,” one woman at the meeting said.Jamilya Jamambaeva noted that similar complaints are also received from residents of Bishkek, and necessary work will be carried out for each of them.
As a result of the meeting, more than 30 written applications were accepted, and 15 oral consultations were conducted.
