A representative of the ministry reported that Orozbaeva was delayed and suggested that the deputies move on to the next item on the agenda.
Tokto Bubu Ashimbaeva, the chairwoman of the committee, expressed her dissatisfaction with such behavior from the deputy minister.
“This is not the first case. Previously, she did not attend a meeting and at another time sent a different representative in her place. Such a frivolous attitude towards the work of the committee and the important issues discussed at the meetings is unacceptable. The deputy minister must be present at discussions related to her responsibilities,” she emphasized.
Gulai Mashrapova, a deputy, also noted that such a situation is unacceptable.
“For me, what happened today is unacceptable. While I do not want to claim that she grossly ignored the Jogorku Kenesh, her behavior demonstrated disrespect. This issue is one of the most significant legislative proposals. We will postpone it to the next meeting; however, the deputy minister must be held accountable for her actions,” the deputy added.
As a result, the discussion of the issue was postponed to the next meeting, and an appeal will be prepared to the Cabinet of Ministers regarding the deputy minister's accountability.
