Brief Biography Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov was born in 1970 in the village of Chayek, located in the Naryn region. In 1991, he graduated from the Faculty of Economics of the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn. His professional career began in the tax service of the Talas region, where he worked as an inspector and senior inspector.
Since 1994, he started his work in the national security agencies, holding various responsible positions in the Anti-Terrorism Center, the Anti-Corruption Service, and the State Guard Service.
Since October 2020, Shabdanbekov has served as the head of the 9th service of the GKNB and was the deputy chairman of this agency.
On February 10, he was appointed acting chairman of the state committee by presidential decree.
