The Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration announces the start of the acceptance and review of applications for social contracts in Kyrgyzstan.
Applications can be submitted to the rural administration (айыл өкмөту) or to the territorial divisions of the ministry, the agency notes.
The "Social Contract" program provides an opportunity to receive 150,000 soms for free to open a small business. This year, 13,334 families will be able to participate in the program.
Eligible for funding are low-income families who have a valid social passport or receive the "household assistance" benefit. Families must also demonstrate labor and property potential and present a realistic business plan.
As emphasized by the ministry, priority will be given to families planning to implement projects in the field of green technologies, as well as within the framework of the "One Village - One Product" initiative. Persons with disabilities and families with sustainable and profitable business plans will also be among the priorities.
The decision to conclude a social contract is made by a commission operating under the local state administration. In cities, this is the social issues commission at the mayor's office, which includes representatives of local authorities, business structures, and public organizations, as well as local councils, according to the decision of the heads of local state administrations and territorial divisions of the Ministry of Labor.
