The Deputy Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, Aibek Matkerimov, met with representatives of the German Development Bank (KfW) and the consulting company GITEC-IGIP. The discussion focused on the implementation of a digital inventory system for medical equipment called SAMEDIS, as reported by the ministry's press service.
During the meeting, 150 printers and 1000 cartridges were handed over to medical institutions, which will assist in organizing the digital accounting of equipment and optimizing work processes.
The parties also raised issues regarding the implementation of the "Health V" program, funded by Germany, including aspects of technical support and data updating to ensure the reliable operation of the system in medical institutions.
It is worth noting that training workshops have already been conducted in medical institutions, and the system has been launched. In the regions, the inventory of equipment is ongoing, while healthcare institutions in Bishkek and the Chui region have completed the first stage and are now engaged in regular information updates.
Additionally, staff responsible for database management and quality control of information have been trained. In the future, the accounting of medical equipment will be transferred to the state enterprise "Kyrgyzpharmacy".
Aibek Matkerimov expressed gratitude to the German Development Bank (KfW) and GITEC-IGIP for their support, emphasizing that such cooperation significantly enhances the resilience and efficiency of the country's healthcare system.
The next step will be to organize technical support and further develop digital technologies in this area.
