Recently, the First Deputy Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan, Aibek Matkerimov, met with Indira Moldogazieva, a representative of the German Development Bank (KfW), and Kerez Kelishova, a project manager from the consulting company GITEC-IGIP. The main topic of discussion was the implementation of a digital inventory system for medical equipment called SAMEDIS, as reported by the Ministry of Health's press service.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current status of the sectoral program "Health V," which is being implemented with financial support from Germany. Issues related to technical support and data updating were also considered, which is important for ensuring the sustainable functioning of the system in medical institutions.
As part of the event, a ceremonial handover of equipment took place — 150 printers and 1000 cartridges, which are intended to improve the workflow of medical organizations and facilitate digital accounting.
Currently, training sessions for staff have already been conducted in all planned medical institutions, and the system has been successfully launched. The process of inventorying medical equipment continues in the regions. In particular, the main stage has already been completed in Bishkek and the Chui region, and regular data updating has begun.
Additionally, further training was conducted for employees of the relevant departments responsible for working with the database and quality control of information. In the future, the accounting of medical equipment will be managed by the state enterprise "Kyrgyzpharmacia."
