
According to information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, citizen B.B. was detained at the "Boone County Jail" in Kentucky, USA.
To provide assistance to the detainee, employees of the General Consulate of the Kyrgyz Republic in Chicago held a meeting with him, during which they provided legal advice regarding the protection of his rights and legitimate interests.
The Ministry also organized meetings with B.B.'s relatives and a representative of his trucking company in Kyrgyzstan to discuss possible further actions and legal support.
Currently, investigative activities are ongoing under the supervision of law enforcement agencies in Kentucky.
The General Consulate maintains regular contact with the administration of the correctional facility, as well as with the regional office of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the detainee's relatives. The situation is being monitored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the country's diplomatic missions in the USA.
