According to Duffy, in connection with the accident involving a driver from Kyrgyzstan, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) took several measures:
- The operation of AJ Partners, where the driver was employed, has been suspended;
- The activities of associated carriers Tutash Express and Sam Express have been halted;
- The certificate of the driving school Aydana, which issued the commercial driver's license (CDL) to the driver, has been revoked.
Sean Duffy noted that investigations are ongoing, and federal authorities intend to hold accountable all those involved in the violations.
According to available information, the companies Tutash Express and Sam Express Inc are managed by citizens of Kyrgyzstan.
Currently, federal investigators are also examining other trucking companies associated with Kyrgyz nationals.
It is worth noting that on February 3, a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, Bekzhan Beishkeyev, was detained in Indiana, suspected of being involved in this traffic accident that resulted in the deaths of four people. According to police, the truck he was driving crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a van.
