He reported that his brother and sister-in-law died as a result of a car accident caused by a drunk driver who crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with their vehicle, leading to the car overturning. At the time of the accident, there were four children in the cabin who, fortunately, survived.
Additionally, Japarov recalled the tragedy of 2019 when his eldest son died in a car accident at the age of just 27. In this case, the driver also violated the rules, crossing a double solid line and hitting his son, who was riding a motorcycle.
“There are many such cases,” the president emphasized, noting that such tragedies take lives and leave an indelible mark on the destinies of many families.

In August 2019, in Bishkek, the eldest son of the president — Dastan Sadyr uulu — died in an accident. At the time of the incident, he was riding a motorcycle when a car driver, violating traffic rules, hit him. Dastan was hospitalized, but unfortunately, he could not be saved.
Information about the death of the president's brother and sister-in-law had not previously been widely covered in the media. During his speech to the citizens, Sadyr Japarov did not provide their names or the date of the tragic event.
