A truck collided with a bus
According to information from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), a truck driver from Kyrgyzstan was the cause of a tragic accident in Indiana that resulted in the deaths of four people, as reported by "Chicago24Online".

The incident occurred on February 3, 2026, around 4:00 PM on S.R. 67 highway, near County Road 550 East in Jay County. Police determined that 44-year-old Gert Pretorius was driving his truck eastbound and slowed down due to traffic congestion.
Following him was another truck driven by 30-year-old Bekzhan Beishkeyev. According to the investigation, he was unable to stop before the slowing traffic, veered into oncoming traffic, and collided head-on with a minibus driven by 55-year-old Donald Stipp.

At the time of the collision, there were six people in the minibus, four of whom died from their injuries. The deceased were identified as 50-year-old Henry Aiker, 25-year-old Menno Aiker, 19-year-old Paul Aiker, and 23-year-old Simon Jiro.
On February 5, ICE reported that Beishkeyev is under investigation as part of the immigration process. The agency also noted that he obtained a CDL without a permanent residence, issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, after entering the U.S. through the CBP One app.
According to ICE, Beishkeyev was detained in cooperation with the Indiana State Police and is currently in custody at the ICE facility in Fort Wayne, awaiting the completion of immigration procedures.
The agency's statement emphasizes that this tragedy, which claimed the lives of four people, could have been prevented with stricter immigration measures for illegal migrants.
