Today marks the beginning of the holy month of Orozо, and in this regard, the Mufti of Kyrgyzstan, Abdulaziz Zakirov, addressed the people.
He congratulated all Muslims, the Kyrgyz people, and humanity on the start of this important period.
According to Zakirov, fasting serves as a constant reminder of the presence of the Almighty, which develops a sense of responsibility among Muslims. This period contributes to the purification of the soul, inner transformation, humility, and encourages good deeds and actions, strengthening faith.
“Fasting helps a Muslim guard their eyes from the forbidden, their ears from the unlawful, and their tongue from lies. They avoid prohibited food, bad deeds, and inappropriate places, knowing that Allah sees and knows everything,” he noted.
Furthermore, the head of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan reminded of the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad, which states that whoever observes fasting during Ramadan with sincere faith and hope for reward from Allah, performs night prayers, and spends the Night of Decree in worship will have their sins forgiven. The Mufti expressed hope that the fasting of all who observe Orozо will be accepted.
