
At a meeting organized with the participation of the press service of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, Mufti Abdulaziz Kary Zakirov met with Mufti of the Republic of Altai Janbolat Azhy Okhtaubaev.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the current state of the Muslim community in the Altai Territory and noted the growing interest in Islam in this region. Janbolat Azhy Okhtaubaev emphasized the need to deepen cooperation with Kyrgyz theologians and exchange experiences in the field of religious education.
Attention was also paid to the upcoming holy month of Ramadan (Orozo ayi). The Altai delegation requested to send three qaris from Kyrgyzstan to conduct khatma during the tarawih prayers and to provide support in educating young Altai Muslims in religious educational institutions in Kyrgyzstan.
The Mufti of Kyrgyzstan, in turn, noted the positive changes in the religious sphere of the Republic of Altai and confirmed the readiness to expand cooperation, including joint educational projects and knowledge exchange.
