Marine accident in Thailand: Kyrgyz citizens refused hospitalization


On board the Korawich Marine 888 boat, which collided with a fishing vessel off the coast of Phuket, there were two citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic. According to information from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Kyrgyz citizens were not injured and refused hospitalization; their condition is assessed as satisfactory.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan also noted that the embassy in Malaysia quickly contacted the citizens through the Honorary Consul in Thailand. Personal contact was established, and there is no threat to their health.

The collision occurred in the Phuket area, resulting in 55 people being injured; however, there were no injured citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic among them. The diplomatic mission continues to monitor the situation's development.

According to available information, both Kyrgyz citizens plan to return to their homeland on January 15, 2026.
