In its comment, the Ministry of Construction noted the following:
The Ministry emphasizes that before the start of construction works at the site, necessary engineering-geological and engineering surveys were conducted in accordance with current legislative norms. These studies allowed determining the groundwater level, and the project documentation includes appropriate engineering solutions.
In particular, the project provides for the installation of a drainage system and the diversion of groundwater, as well as limiting the height of residential buildings to five stories, taking into account the characteristics of the site. These measures are aimed at ensuring the safety of construction and the further operation of the buildings.
It is important to note that the residential complex 'Altai' is a low-rise development. Issues of seismic safety have been thoroughly studied by the relevant state institutions, so no additional approval from the Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic is required.
In this regard, the statements of Kanat Abdrakhmatov are not true. The Ministry urges citizens not to panic and to trust official sources of information.
Furthermore, it is worth noting that other large projects, such as new bus stations and residential buildings, are already being implemented and are currently under construction in this area. The four- and five-story buildings constructed during the Soviet era are still in use.
The Ministry of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services of the Kyrgyz Republic assures that the construction of the residential complex 'Altai' is being carried out in strict accordance with the norms and under constant supervision.
Earlier, Kanat Abdrakhmatov expressed his opinion on social media:
Think before starting any construction!
