- Kyrgyzstan must abandon the rural development model and focus on creating urban infrastructure, including megacities, noted the director of the State Agency for Architecture, Construction, and Housing and Communal Services under the Cabinet of Ministers, Nurdin Oruntaev, in an interview with state media.

He also mentioned that a master plan for the city of Karakol was adopted in 2025, which includes the construction of high-rise residential buildings.

The process of forming urban infrastructure is also observed in other settlements in the country, such as Manas and Osh.

“Our task is to develop cities and transition to modern infrastructure. Megacities should be our goal,” he added.

In addition, the minister noted that the average annual increase in real estate prices in Kyrgyzstan is 20–30%, indicating high interest from investors. According to him, the construction industry plays an important role in the country's economy, providing jobs for hundreds of people.
