President Sadyr Japarov, in an interview with the publication "Kabar," noted that the transition to a 12-year education system is a pressing requirement of our time.

He emphasized that this is not only a global standard but also a response to the challenges of the global education market.

“In modern conditions, we are obliged to integrate our national education system into the international educational and labor space. Neighboring countries have already implemented this transition or are in the process of doing so. In 2029, the first graduates of the 12-year education system will receive their diplomas. Otherwise, our graduates from schools that do not meet international standards will be forced to undergo an additional year of preparation to enter foreign universities. The transition to a 12-year education system is an objective necessity; it is a global requirement,” the president stated.

According to Japarov, without access to the global educational space, Kyrgyzstan will face difficulties in preparing specialists who meet the demands of the global labor market. He stressed the importance of forming human capital capable of competing in the world economy.

The 10-11 year education system, in the president's opinion, has fulfilled its historical role, as it was oriented towards a planned economy. In a market economy, the preparation of competitive specialists becomes relevant, and Kyrgyzstan should not remain aloof from these changes. This is a system that promotes early professional self-determination, added Sadyr Japarov.
