Starting from the beginning of 2025, the republican budget has allowed for the completion of the construction of 134 educational institutions. This was announced by President Sadyr Japarov in an interview with the Kabar agency.
As part of this project, 60 schools and 28 kindergartens were built, and major repairs were carried out in 41 educational institutions and 5 kindergartens.
In addition, 16 schools and 13 kindergartens (a total of 29 facilities) were financed from various sources, including development funds, local budgets, and sponsorship contributions.
In total, 163 educational facilities have been completed across Kyrgyzstan, of which 117 are new buildings and 46 have been majorly renovated.
"In 2022, 15 schools were built in Bishkek, and in 2025, it is planned to construct 20 schools in the capital, 10 in Osh, and 6 in Manas. Construction work will begin in February and last until September. The shortage of educational institutions is most acutely felt in these three cities, so this issue will be addressed in stages," Japarov noted.
He also added that currently, 216 schools and 107 kindergartens are under construction at various stages of readiness.
"We plan that by 2026, half of them will be completed and put into operation," the president added.
