According to him, the Center for Monitoring and Research of the Information Environment has been dissolved in Kyrgyzstan, and there is currently no structure capable of systematically interacting with social networks and information platforms.
Moreover, he noted that despite the existing block, the use of TikTok among citizens, especially the youth, continues through VPNs.
We urge the consideration of our proposal to lift the ban on TikTok.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that restrictions on access to the platform negatively affect the youth audience, representatives of the creative industries, and small businesses that use TikTok to promote their services and earn income.
For reference, TikTok was officially blocked in Kyrgyzstan in April 2024 at the direction of the Service for Regulation and Supervision in the Field of Communications, received from the State Committee for National Security.
