In 2025, only 48 people received medical assistance

At a meeting of the committee on international affairs, defense, and migration, deputy Gulya Kozhokulova reported a reduction in quotas for the treatment of Kyrgyz citizens in Turkey.

During the discussion, the results of the work of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Turkey for 2024-2025 were presented, as reported by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador Ruslan Kazakbaev.

During the debates, Kozhokulova raised the issue of increasing quotas for free treatment of Kyrgyz citizens in Turkish medical institutions, referring to the Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Health and Medical Sciences between the two countries.

She noted that the number of medical quotas provided is decreasing.

“In 2021, 30 people received medical assistance in Turkey, in 2024 — 86, and in 2025, their number has decreased to 48,” the deputy emphasized, calling for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to take more active measures on this issue.
