In Kyrgyzstan, over the past year, the State Insurance Organization (GSO) has made payments totaling 147 million soms in the form of insurance compensations. This was reported by Azat Osmonaliev, head of the compensation and insurance payments department, in an interview with "Birinchi Radio."

According to Osmonaliev, the main task of creating this state enterprise is to protect citizens in the event of various emergencies, such as fires, natural disasters, and other incidents that lead to the loss of housing or property.

He emphasized that in such difficult times, insurance becomes critically important, allowing people to recover from the losses they have incurred.

In the current year of 2024, the GSO has already paid the population about 24 million soms, and in 2025, this amount increased more than six times, reaching 147 million soms. The increase in payments is attributed to the expansion of insurance coverage and its mandatory nature.

The head of the department also reminded about the housing insurance rates: in cities, they amount to 1,200 soms per year, while in rural areas, it is 600 soms. These funds allow the state to guarantee payments to citizens in the event of an insured incident.

The GSO emphasizes that the mandatory insurance system is aimed at making support accessible to everyone, ensuring equal protection conditions for the population of the country.
