A dump for waste has been organized nearby
On the shores of Issyk-Kul, a stone with ancient petroglyphs has been used as a toilet, and a garbage dump has appeared nearby. This issue was raised by the blogger @stepanjaratman.kg on social media.
The mentioned site is located near the under-construction city of Asman.
“This could be part of our national heritage. It should be protected and tourists should be invited here. Instead, people use it as a toilet. Shouldn’t this place be fenced off?” the blogger questions.
He made and installed a protective sign next to the stone.
In the comments on the post, users expressed the opinion that these petroglyphs might have historical value and were created 2-3 thousand years ago.
“I used to bring tourists here. It’s just awful!” one of the commenters exclaimed.
