In Germany, McDonald’s has decided to refrain from displaying images of food on its billboards during the Muslim fasting period. Advertising materials will only appear after dark.

The idea of the new advertising campaign, which includes digital billboards synchronized with the solar cycle, has received a positive response from Muslims. These billboards show food only after sunset.

Thus, on digital outdoor advertising stands during the day, the brand packaging is presented as empty or closed. With the onset of darkness, these same packages are "filled" in real-time with fries and burgers.
