"Stand-up performances will be so patriotic that people will wonder if Vladimir Solovyov is a foreign agent"
Kazakh comedian Nurlan Saburov, who faced a ban on entering Russia and scrutiny of his activities by local security services, performed in Phuket. This became known thanks to a message from Russian journalist Ksenia Sobchak on her Telegram channel.
Saburov ironically commented on the support, including Sobchak's words, emphasizing that interest in his performances remains. He also joked that his future stand-up shows would be "extremely patriotic."
"Stand-up performances will be so patriotic that people will wonder if Vladimir Solovyov is a foreign agent," he added humorously.
It is worth noting that the entry ban to Russia was imposed by the court based on "national security interests, compliance with legislation, and the protection of traditional spiritual and moral values." Nurlan learned about this restriction at Moscow's Vnukovo Airport upon returning from Dubai on February 7.
After that, the comedian decided not to comment on the situation, reviewed his social media posts, and returned to Kazakhstan, stating that his lawyers would handle the matter.
On February 16, information emerged that Kazakh security services had begun an investigation into Nurlan Saburov regarding possible financing of one of the parties in the conflict in Ukraine.
