In recent days, recordings have been actively circulated on the internet, claiming that Nurlan Saburov provided financial assistance to Russian servicemen.
Background
It was previously reported that Nurlan Saburov has been banned from entering Russia for a period of 50 years. The reason for this decision, it is said, was "the interests of national security of the country, compliance with legislation, and the protection of traditional spiritual and moral values."The incident occurred at Moscow's Vnukovo airport when the comedian returned from Dubai. Saburov refused free deportation and purchased a ticket for a flight to Kazakhstan, where he landed on February 7. In Almaty, he was met by another host of the show "What Happened Next" — Alexey Shcherbakov.
According to lawyer Alexander Khaminsky, Saburov has the opportunity to appeal the entry ban to Russia if he changes his position on Russian politics. The lawyer noted that the decision to impose the ban was due to Saburov's criticism of Russia's war against Ukraine, his "anti-Russian statements," and violations of migration and tax legislation.
On February 8, Nurlan Saburov commented for the first time on the entry ban to Russia, stating on Instagram that he does not intend to discuss the situation publicly, as his lawyers will handle it.
He also reminded that he began his career in Yekaterinburg and continued in Moscow, expressing gratitude to Russia for its support and opportunities for creative growth. Saburov asked journalists and bloggers not to interfere in his personal life.
Opinion of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Alibek Bakaev commented on the situation surrounding Saburov.“The situation is simple: he is a citizen of Kazakhstan. If Russia has made such a decision regarding him, it is their internal matter, regulated by their own legislation. Therefore, it is difficult to comment on the actions of third countries,” noted the deputy minister.
According to him, such bans are not unusual.
“He is neither the first nor the last to be banned from entering a particular country,” added Bakaev.
The deputy minister also noted that issues regarding Saburov's property in Russia are regulated by the legislation of the host country and resolved through its courts.
