At the meeting, the mayor outlined tasks for the prompt resumption of road work and the completion of asphalt laying according to the approved timelines.
In addition, he instructed the responsible services to continue the implementation of large projects initiated earlier and to resolve legal issues that hinder road construction. It was also suggested to widen the sidewalks to create safe conditions for pedestrians.
“I just took office as mayor a week ago, and throughout this week, I have noted that construction is not progressing. We cannot afford to abandon the projects we have started, even if they lack funding. We must continue and complete them with our own resources. This will help reduce traffic jams, as drivers will be able to directly access Amir-Temir Street. All work must be carried out sequentially, and we cannot stop on already initiated large projects in Osh. We are obligated to complete the work that has been started,” he noted.
