At the meeting, led by Altai State University Rector Sergey Bocharov and Head of the Scientific and Educational Center Yulia Lysenko, a plan of activities for 2026 was approved. The main focus will be on deepening international cooperation, implementing new educational initiatives, and engaging students and schoolchildren in project activities.
Both staff and freelance employees of the center, as well as representatives from Central Asia, participated in the meeting. In 2026, the emphasis will be on youth: plans are in place to involve students and high school seniors in various projects. New formats proposed by partner universities will be added to traditional events such as international conferences and summer schools for young Turkologists.
An important part of the work will be collaboration with educators. A pilot project is planned for teachers and students of secondary vocational and general education schools, which includes methodological seminars and educational programs aimed at exploring the cultural and historical heritage of modern Turkic-speaking peoples.
Center staff from Russia and Central Asia will continue to conduct lectures and seminars, participate in continuing education programs, and engage in academic exchanges. Students from different countries will be actively involved in international expeditions.
The annual program also includes events dedicated to significant anniversary dates in the Turkic world. As part of the Nauryz celebration, a competition called "Media Nauryz 2026" will be organized, aimed at promoting the cultural heritage of Turkic peoples.
Yulia Lysenko reported that early in the year, the first successes were achieved: an exhibition of the center was held in Moscow, and an international author group began work on the third volume of "Chronicles of Turkic Civilization." Among the center's new partners are scientific and educational institutions from Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, and Uzbekistan. Throughout the year, it is expected to expand the circle of partners.
