In Bishkek, on Kurchatov Street, 81, in the "Djal" microdistrict, an incident with a pipeline occurred during construction work. Local residents shared this information with the editorial office of Kaktus.media.

According to the residents, due to the damage, the excavation filled with water, and part of the microdistrict was left without access to clean drinking water.

Moreover, they expressed concern about the lack of necessary permits for construction.

“It is unclear on what basis the work is being carried out. They don't even have a project passport,” the residents noted in their appeal.

Comment from "Bishkekvodokanal"

In response to the situation, "Bishkekvodokanal" reported that the damage to the pipeline occurred during the construction of a new building for secondary school No. 72.

According to the company, failure to maintain the required distance during excavation work led to soil collapse and, consequently, the collapse of a 250 mm diameter pipeline, which caused a water leak.

An emergency team was dispatched to the scene to assess the situation and localize the emergency.

To prevent further leaks, the pipeline was shut off from both sides. It was added that the network needs to be relocated by the company OsOO "Goha Group," as it falls within the construction zone.

"Bishkekvodokanal" clarified that the supply of drinking water continues as usual, as the network is looped.
