A capsule was laid in Bishkek, marking the beginning of the construction of a new multifunctional cultural center. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy.
It is worth noting that the site of the new center previously housed the "Chatyr-Kul" cinema building, which had been used as a state youth theater "Uchur" since 2009. In 2025, the building was declared emergency after a fire, and it was demolished this year.
After this, the facility was handed over to the Bishkek city administration, which allocated funds for the construction of the modern cultural center.
The Minister of Culture, Mirbek Mambetaliev, expressed hope that the new center would become an important venue for theatrical performances, musical concerts, film screenings, youth initiatives, and educational programs.
