It is proposed to provide a 50% discount on contract education
The Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, which deals with labor, health, and social welfare issues, has approved a project that aims to introduce educational benefits for the children of mothers awarded the "Batyr Ene" order.
According to this project, it is planned to provide a 50% discount on the payment for contract education for the children of mothers who have given birth to and raised seven or more children when applying for their first higher professional education.
The justification for the initiative states that it is aimed at achieving social justice and creating equal conditions for access to education. The authors note that in large families, financial obligations are distributed among a larger number of children, which reduces parents' ability to pay for education at universities, where tuition fees range from 29,500 to 288,500 soms, and in some cases can reach 7,500 dollars.
As of January 1, 2026, there are more than 31,000 mothers in Kyrgyzstan registered as holders of the "Batyr Ene" order who receive pension supplements.
The initiators of this measure are confident that the 50% discount will be a significant investment in the training of qualified specialists, will raise the educational level of youth, and will support state policy in the areas of motherhood, family, and demographic development.
