Mia's mother shares her feelings: "From the very beginning, she has experienced abdominal swelling, constipation, and pain. When the doctors at the maternity hospital said they couldn't help her and that she needed to be urgently taken to intensive care, my life changed dramatically. Since then, I have been fighting for her health, but I don't have enough strength for everything. Mia requires constant care, and this prevents me from earning money for her treatment. Without surgery, she won't be able to recover."
I found myself in a vicious circle. If I work, there's no one to look after the child. If I take care of her, I can't earn money for the surgery. The total cost of treatment in Turkey is $27,000, of which the mother has only managed to raise $8,000 so far.

A four-year-old Mia with Hirschsprung's disease needs surgery abroad.
Her mother adds: "When her stomach hurts, I can't pick her up or give her medicine because almost everything is contraindicated. In those moments, I don't know how to help her or comfort her."
With an open colostomy, every day for Mia is filled with pain. Due to difficulties with her intestines, stool does not pass on its own, and part of the intestine protrudes through the stoma by 20 centimeters. This causes suffering and increases the risk of complications and bleeding.
