
Since March 1, Gabriela Popescu has taken on the role of head of Microsoft in Romania, Moldova, and Central Asia, as announced by the company's press service.
Popescu has extensive experience at the intersection of law, business, and technology.
“She has a deep understanding of commercial and regulatory aspects, compliance with legislation, and establishing trusting relationships with key partners in Central and Eastern Europe. She has been with Microsoft Romania since 2017. In recent years, she served as the acting CEO while also overseeing corporate, external, and legal matters in Central Europe, supporting the company's strategic initiatives in the region,” the official statement noted.
Gabriela also emphasized that Microsoft brings together talented professionals and ambitious digital projects.
“In my new role, I plan to actively engage with clients, partners, and government institutions to effectively apply cloud technologies and AI-based solutions to create real value, enhance resilience, and promote long-term economic development,” she added.
