Escalation in the Middle East. Kyrgyzstan officially supported Bahrain and Oman

Jeenbek Kulubaev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, held a phone conversation with Abdulatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, his counterpart from Bahrain. The press service of the foreign ministry reported this event.

During the conversation, Kulubaev, representing President Sadyr Japarov, expressed support for the brotherly people of Bahrain amid the increasing tensions in the Middle East that have affected the territory of the kingdom.

The parties expressed hope for a swift de-escalation of the conflict, the restoration of political and diplomatic dialogue, and the adoption of concrete measures to restore peace and stability in the region, according to the press service's information.

Additionally, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan contacted his colleague from Oman, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, and conveyed a message from President Sadyr Japarov regarding the support that Kyrgyzstan has expressed towards Bahrain and Oman in light of the rising tensions.

During the discussion, the parties emphasized the security risks threatening the regions and highlighted the importance of returning to political and diplomatic negotiations.

While discussing logistical issues, Kulubaev thanked Oman for its assistance in evacuating Kyrgyz citizens from Gulf countries back to their homeland, which also became an important part of their dialogue.
