Dastan Bekeshev proposed to make the National Testing free

He noted that rising prices will negatively affect families in difficult financial situations.

At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Dastan Bekeshev reported that the price of the National Testing (ORT) has increased from 200 soms to 470 soms for each subject.

In his opinion, such a price increase will have a negative impact on families facing financial difficulties.

“Moreover, many parents are forced to spend money on paid courses to prepare their children for the ORT. All these expenses add up to significant amounts,” he added.

Bekeshev emphasized that the testing causes stress for graduates and requires substantial financial investments.

The deputy also cited examples from several countries where the government finances such exams, and parents do not have to pay for them.

He believes that at the beginning of the implementation of the ORT, such a system was justified, but now it requires changes.

“The budget has increased, there is a surplus. Why can't the government allocate funds for this important area? Let's start this year. Let it be 400 million or another amount. Let's make the ORT free. This is necessary for the state, as it is the state that prepares its graduates,” he emphasized.
