The northern part of the route was repaired in 2025. On the southern side, utilities will be replaced first, after which the roadway will be widened and new asphalt will be laid. The total length of the road exceeds 4 km, so the work will be carried out in stages. So far, the repairs have not caused significant problems for drivers, and there are no traffic jams on the section from Intergelpo Street to Kustanai Street.
The city administration also plans to construct and reconstruct more than 119 km of roads throughout the capital. Municipal authorities assure that they will strive to minimize traffic jams during road works.
As noted earlier by Ulanbek Beishenbaev, the director of the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development, "main highways and central streets will be closed during the holidays when traffic is lighter."
