As part of this project, the irrigation infrastructure that supplies water to eight settlements in the Bazar-Korgon district will be updated.
In particular, a complete reconstruction of the 15-kilometer left-bank main canal is planned, with a total length of 15.78 kilometers, as well as the creation of 13.5 kilometers of a new upper utility canal.
The Ministry also reported on the holding of a tender, as a result of which a contract was signed for an amount of 853 million 476 thousand soms. The work will be carried out by specialists from China Road.
Upon completion of the project, an improvement in water supply for 8,225 hectares of irrigated land in Bazar-Korgon and in the rural districts of Saydykum and Akman is expected.
The completion of all work is scheduled for the end of December 2028.
