The Municipal Enterprise "Bishkekzelenhoz" is engaged in the felling of dry trees.
In the administration of the city of Bishkek, it was reported that a sanitary felling of trees is being carried out on Mahatma Gandhi Street. As explained by the city hall, trees that are emergency and dried out are being removed.
According to specialists, most of the trees are suffering from pests, in particular, from the longhorn beetle (wood borer), which has led to their weakening and decay.
The city hall emphasized that such trees can pose a threat to citizens and road users, which is why they are being removed to prevent possible falls of branches or trunks onto the roadway and sidewalks.
