At the same time, on February 28, Israel and the USA carried out strikes against Iran. Donald Trump announced his intentions to destroy the nuclear program of the Islamic Republic.

In response, Iran began attacking Israeli targets and other countries in the Middle East where American military bases are located. Strikes were carried out on Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai (UAE), as well as Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).

As a result of the attacks by American-Israeli forces, the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed. Later, his wife, Mansure Khodjasteh, died from injuries sustained during the attack.

Donald Trump stated that military operations in Iran are expected to continue for about four weeks. In response, Iran declared jihad against the USA and Israel, emphasizing that there will be no negotiations.

The conflict in the Middle East has consequences for the whole world, including Kyrgyzstan. Currently, thousands of tourists are stranded in the UAE. Contacts for embassies and consulates for Kyrgyz citizens abroad can be found here.
