In his speech regarding the participation of European countries in the conflict in the Middle East, he noted that some of them have performed "magnificently" and supported the U.S., but he called Spain and the United Kingdom "terrible" partners due to their refusal to assist with military actions against Iran.
The next day, March 4, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez addressed the nation, reiterating that Spain does not intend to support the war of the U.S. and Israel against Iran. "We will not become accomplices to actions that contradict our values and interests, merely to avoid pressure," he said.

On February 28, Israel and the U.S. began strikes against Iran. Trump confirmed that the goal of the operation is to destroy the nuclear program of the Islamic Republic.In response to these actions, Iran began attacking territories of Israel and other countries in the Middle East where American military bases are located. Strikes were carried out on Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Dubai (UAE), and Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).
As a result of the U.S.-Israeli aggression, the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed. Soon after, his wife, Mansoureh Khojasteh, also died from her injuries.
Trump stated that military operations in Iran would last about four weeks. Iran, for its part, declared jihad against the U.S. and Israel, stating that negotiations are impossible.
