On the morning of February 28, Israel, together with the United States, conducted strikes against Iran, where Donald Trump announced his intention to destroy the nuclear program of the Islamic Republic.

In response, Iran began attacking territories in Israel and other countries in the Middle East where American military bases are located. Strikes were carried out on Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai (UAE), as well as on Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).

As a result of the American-Israeli operation, the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed, and later his wife, Mansoureh Khojasteh, also died from her injuries.

Donald Trump also stated that the operation in Iran would last about four weeks. In response to these events, Iran declared jihad against the USA and Israel, stating that there would be no negotiations.

The escalation of the conflict in the Middle East affects the entire world, including Kyrgyzstan. As a result of the current situation, thousands of tourists have been stranded in the UAE. Contact details for embassies and consulates for Kyrgyz citizens abroad can be found here.
