
On his Telegram channel, Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Dastan Bekeshev announced an initiative for the active development of esports in the country.
Bekeshev emphasized that for the effective promotion of computer sports, it is necessary to create systematic support and establish corresponding mechanisms at the legislative level. In this context, he has prepared a draft law proposing amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Physical Culture and Sports".
The deputy also highlighted that the proposed document includes measures regulating the participation of minors in esports events. This is aimed at reducing risks associated with excessive engagement in video games.
It was previously reported that esports is rapidly gaining popularity among the youth of Kyrgyzstan. In the future, there is a possibility of creating a regional center for gamers, which could make the country an important hub for esports in Central Asia.
