“We, the local residents and parents of students from school No. 51, are extremely concerned about safety in this area. Cars often exceed the allowed speed, which poses a threat to pedestrians, especially children, as there is a school and other educational institutions nearby. We have already contacted the Bishkek city council, but we were only offered to limit ourselves to road markings. This solution does not satisfy us, as markings do not guarantee safety, and many drivers simply ignore them,” they note.
