The deputies adopted bills on mutual visa cancellation for holders of diplomatic and service passports with four countries

The legislative initiatives were adopted in three readings.

During the session of the Jogorku Kenesh, parliamentarians discussed bills concerning the ratification of agreements that provide for mutual visa cancellation for holders of diplomatic and service passports with countries such as Egypt, Oman, Slovenia, and Benelux.

The bills were presented by Deputy Foreign Minister Almaz Imangaziev.

He reported that according to these agreements, citizens of Kyrgyzstan and the mentioned states, holding diplomatic, special, and service passports, will be able to visit these countries without a visa for up to 90 days within a 180-day period.

During the discussion, the deputies emphasized the need for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to work on expanding the list of countries for a simplified visa regime, which should apply not only to holders of diplomatic and service passports but also to those with regular civil passports.

As a result of the discussions, the bills were approved by the deputies.
