The Ministry of Natural Resources of Kyrgyzstan has reported significant successes of the country's protected natural areas by the end of 2025. In particular, financial and operational results have reached record levels.

According to the ministry, revenues from tourism activities amounted to 37.7 million soms, which is more than double the figures from the previous year (+19.3 million soms).

Over the past year, the natural reserves and parks of the country attracted 271,254 visitors, reflecting a 24 percent increase in interest in ecological routes.

Domestic tourism remains the backbone of this sector, with 250,500 citizens of Kyrgyzstan, while there is also a steady interest from tourists from CIS countries and far abroad.

The increase in revenue against the backdrop of moderate growth in the number of tourists indicates the optimization of tariffs and improved collection of payments.

At the same time, with the development of ecotourism, control over compliance with environmental protection legislation has been strengthened. Over the year, 139 violations were recorded, with the total damage amounting to 1.1 million soms.

Of the total number of incidents, 70 percent are related to violations in the field of plant life. Currently, funds have already been returned to the budget in 78 cases, while the others are in the process of judicial proceedings or administrative proceedings.
