Attendees included victims, local government representatives, as well as the presidential envoy in the Jalal-Abad region, Tilek Tekebaev, and local residents.
As reported by "Azattyk," during the rally, the victims made a request to the president through the regional leader. One of them, Maksatbek Momunaliev, stated that they insist on free medical treatment and annual funding for rehabilitation in sanatoriums. Their appeal was signed by 33 people.
It is worth recalling that on March 17 and 18, 2002, in Bospiek, law enforcement officers opened fire on participants of a peaceful demonstration, resulting in the deaths of six people. The protests were triggered by the transfer of the Uzongu-Kuush area to China and the arrest of the deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, Azimbek Beknazarov, who opposed this decision.
