In the latest issue of the "Our People Abroad" column, we will tell you about Bermet Bekmukhametova. She was born in 1998 in Aydarken, located in the Batken region. Bermet received an education in pedagogy, graduating from the Faculty of World Languages at Osh State University.

Currently, Bermet lives in the Moscow region with her husband, where they are raising two children. She shared her life away from her homeland and her plans for the future with Turmush.

Bermet's life journey has been eventful. "After finishing school, I enrolled in Moscow State Pedagogical University, but soon transferred to Osh. I spent my summer vacations in Moscow, working part-time at a restaurant where my future husband's uncle worked. He was the one who organized our meeting and passed my number to him," she recounts.

After returning to Kyrgyzstan, they began communicating. Despite a delay in the trip to Germany, fate had other plans: in September, the young man proposed to Bermet, and on March 8, the couple got married.

Currently, the family lives in the Moscow region. Bermet notes that the living conditions and the environment for raising children here are very good, and the neighbors are kind and responsive. "Despite the comfort, the nostalgia for my homeland never leaves me. We dream of returning to Kyrgyzstan. But right now, stability keeps us here: my husband has Russian citizenship and a reliable job. Away from home, there are fewer risks, but my heart always longs for my native places," she shares.

Bermet has fully immersed herself in motherhood. Currently, she is not working, as her youngest son is not yet a year old, and her eldest daughter is five. She dedicates most of her time to the development of her children. Her experience communicating in English in Germany in 2023 convinced her that knowing languages opens new horizons. "I realized that it is important not only to create comfortable conditions for the children but also to give them the knowledge that we lacked in our childhood," says Bermet.

Her five-year-old daughter already speaks Kyrgyz, Russian, and English fluently, and she is now starting to learn German. Mom teaches the children through play: "We sing, dance, and explore the world together. The results appeared just six months after regular classes," Bermet emphasizes.

Bermet considers her main goal to raise children who will become worthy members of society and benefit their people. Her dream is to return to her homeland and open a school where English will be taught using modern and engaging methods. "Here in the Moscow region, I do not face difficulties — my husband and his family support me. We often meet with other Kyrgyz people, but the thought of returning home never leaves me for a moment," she concludes.
