The United Kingdom has decided to significantly increase the prices for entry visas of all types, including tourist, student, and transit visas. The new rates, which were announced on the Foreign Office's website, will come into effect on April 8.

According to the new tariff, a short-term visa for tourists, valid for up to six months, will rise in price from £127 to £135.

The cost of long-term visas will also increase: a two-year visa will cost £506, a five-year visa will be £903, and a ten-year visa will be £1,128. These changes will also affect those intending to study or receive medical services in the UK.

A student visa will now cost £558, while a visa for private medical treatment will be £234. The fee for transit passengers will also increase: the price for an airport transit visa will rise to £74.5.

For citizens of countries with a visa-free regime with the UK, the cost of the electronic travel authorization (ETA) will increase from £16 to £20.
