The section of Chingiz Aitmatov Avenue, located between Jaiyla Baatyr Avenue (Southern Highway) and Semetei Street, has once again become accessible to vehicles after the completion of a 12-day closure, as reported by the Bishkek city administration through Kaktus.media.

The closure of this section was necessitated by the construction of four underground pedestrian crossings, with work commencing on January 1.

Each of the four underground pedestrian crossings is 33.5 meters long and 4 meters wide. Currently, finishing works are underway inside the crossings, and stairs are also being constructed.

The city administration emphasized that the main construction work was carried out during the holidays to minimize inconvenience for residents and reduce traffic load.

Concrete blocks have also been removed at the intersection of Ch. Aitmatov Avenue and Abdrahmanov Street, improving access to this street. However, exiting from Abdrahmanov Street onto Ch. Aitmatov Avenue is only permitted in the right direction.
