In the city of Manas, 15 km of railway is being dismantled for the construction of a highway.

In Manas, work has begun on the dismantling of 15.4 km of unused railway to make way for a new highway. The decision to dismantle was made by the Ministry of Transport, as reported by the press service of the city administration.

The specified railway section runs from Jalal-Abad to Kok-Jangak (from the 406th to the 421st km). The last trains on this line ran in 1998, and it has not been in operation since then.

The dismantling is scheduled to be completed by February 1, after which construction of the highway will commence.
